MTB - Mountainbiking

Postby tasadam » Tue 23 Oct, 2012 1:31 pm

There's a mountain bike magazine that made a movie - here's a teaser - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QomZf1a2IGg
Something like this should be done in Tassie. Course, they'd need to build the tracks first...

So, how does somewhere as pristine and beautiful as Tasmania get tracks like that built?

Hard work
tourism focussed agancies
stakeholder negotiation
old track use / upgrade
good trail design
IMBA
dedication
A user group thatwill build and maintain, not just expect 'them' to fix stuff

Same as the guys in Tassie who are building trails and working with gummint.
