Media giving bushwalking a bad name.

Do or die...
ABC2 Wednesday nights. Each week, Do or Die will take a different workplace through some of the most gruelling challenges in the harshest Australian environments. These office workers will be pushed to their physical and psychological limits – all in the name of team building.
“Do or Die promises friction, deceit, gossip, rivalry, power plays, the stuff of every office. It will be compelling television with the added promise of true transformation, real jeopardy and serious adventure.”

Not worthy of being in the Bushwalking thread, and certainly not the Equipment thread. Their method of carriage of such was questionable (2 of the 6 people were frequently seen carrying a large plastic box, heavy with food, using rope handles and bare hands...).

I killed the volume when I heard the cheerleader state; ‘I’m having problems conceptualising what you are trying to do... can’t get it clear in my head’ – one guy had taken leadership, and took 4 attempts to choose a suitable camp site. It was still light when they had finally set up.

I had an issue with how close everyone walked together, and why they carried such large gas-propellant type stoves – when they had a large fire each night.

What was of interest is that they had a go at land yacht sailing on a WA saltflat; Lake Lefroy. There is even an Australian forum for that pursuit...

I just watched it on Iview,
I found it an interesting show on team dynamics (listening to team members) and leadership skills. A thing a lot of workplaces need.
As for what and how they carried their "stuff" was all an exercise again in team building not so much a how to !
