petition to stop the monorail being built in fiordland
the minister of conservation is considering allowing a monorail to be buil through dpt of conservation land, bowling a 40km path through native forest.
if you dont want this to happen you may like to consider signing the online petition registering your objection

the vast majority of people who pass through this area are from overseas, if anything their voice is just as important, if overseas people say they don't want this monorail theres a bigger argument not to put it in if they dont want to see a place with big engineering projects like mnorails, cable cars, tunnels and roads covering the landscape. at the monmont you can stand on the mountains around the area and see the forests with little if any roads running through them. let alone monorails.

Good point. I note that the petition also included nationality of signed. So there's no hoodwink on the nationality of petitioners.
