Well done to all the Western Bulldog supporters out there. What a great win

Congrats to the Doggies (once my beloved Hawks had been eliminated, I was backing the Bulldogs), but of more importance is that Cronulla have finally won their first NRL premiership.
The Sharks may only be my second team (yeah, I'm not ashamed to admit it - I'm a Manly supporter. "Everybody hates us - WE DON'T CARE!!!!") but I've been barracking for them all year. Well done, Sharks. It's about *&%$#! time!

On the other hand, I just found out that ScoMo is Cronulla's No 1 ticket holder . . .

nnw - you could always switch your allegiance to the Bears - my childhood team. Unfortunately they are never likely to win anything especially the premiership. Red and black - a great colour combination.

Throw in a bit of white and I'd have to agree with you Mark
Being a Saints supporter I know what it's like to follow a team who are starved of success. I was really happy for the Bulldogs supporters but extremely jealous. Luke Beveridge's gesture of giving his medal to Robert Murphy was one of the greatest moments I have ever seen in VFL/AFL.
My Tassie team, Glenorchy, won the Grand Final in the TFL a few weeks ago so I'm happy about that.
Being from Victoria I was hoping the Storm would win the NRL GF but happy that Cronulla won their first premiership.

Not my team but was barracking for them during the finals.
It was a good result for the game.
I have a theory that the team that wins the fumbles in the first quarter will win the game.
The Doggies lost the first few then started to win them, at that point I thought they would win.
Fumble I think is a good indication of how much a team wants to win the game.

If I can cope with Kennett's bond with Hawthorn and Abbott's with Manly, I can survive ScoMo.
And there's always the comforting thought that it could be worse - I could have been a Collingwood supporter.

On ya, Mickey! He's lucky not to be banned.
ps: Hope the Saints do it next year - they're my second AFL team. First footy game I saw all the way through was a film of that Grand Final, during a cold, rained out sports class in high school. Barry Breen will forever be a hero.

we know how to play the game

The mighty Sharks won..I can now throw the PLB away (if I hadn't already lost it) and walk of into the distance and happily never be seen again. My life is now complete.
Mark F, the Bears were always my second team...I even had a jersey as a kid so old it was the black and red hoops! Wore that thing till it was thread thin and just fell apart....good days.
