Anyone had anything delivered via Royal Mail EXPRESS post recently (especially anyone who resides in Victoria) and how long did it take?

I have some bike bits that were sent by Royal Mail International Priority airmail on 17 August and they arrived on Thursday - so two months. I had forgotten that I'd ordered them.

Crikey.
I can't find that particular service.
Wondering if it was the base type service second from the bottom? I think the one's at the top get some speed (preference), but if that was yours, clearly not.
This is what I have found.

Dunno, looking at the label nbow it says 'International Priority' Air Mail.
I'd hate to see 'non-priority'...

International shipping has gone up the creek. Mail orders from Asia and Europe are now delivering from 4-8 weeks at least when 1-3 weeks were the norm in past. One package of mine took 3 months from back in June.

Royal Mail is working normally-enough in the UK, but there's a huge shortage of air freight capacity to Australia. Postal articles are normally carried in the hold of passenger planes, but with hardly any international passenger services allowed to operate into Australia, and cargo planes full of bulk cargo, there are big delays. I doubt it makes much difference which priority shipping level has been selected.
Having said that, earlier this month I ordered two pairs of KT26s from Australia and they arrived in the UK in under three weeks, despite not being sent by any fancy shipping option.
