Amazing story with a somewhat sad ending.
It always intrigues me of the way our natural skills are lost the more refined we become.
Those people did it tough. Running a wild animal down until IT was exhausted!

That was very interesting to see pop up. There is a school of academic thought that our own evolution was strongly shaped by this practice. According to them this is why we can run or walk for very long periods, shed heat well, cope with dehydration etc, compared to other animals. The Kalahari (San) bushmen still hunt this way .. check YouTube for an awesome David Attenborough clip of this.
