Why I haven't done more walking

Postby Moondog55 » Sat 15 Mar, 2014 1:11 pm

Apart from renovating this decrepit old house I have been building these for my beloved
It's also why I don't have any money for new gear.
All Vifa drivers.
Passive components from Jantzen Audio
These are a very simple but effective design, 3 carefully selected drivers and only 3 components in the dividing network.

About the same cost as a high end tent or sleeping bag plus the work to assemble and the timber ect.
About time I finished them, only been working on them for 5 years

Nice, having your music sound right when relaxing is something else isn't it.

Did you design the enclosure or is this a "kit" with a recommended enclosure design?

I remember my first home built boxes, I didn't know a thing about enclosure design or filters. I used some cheap dual cone speakers and loved them to bits. They were pretty rough but I was only 14.

Designed from scratch.
It's a Vifa P-13-WH-08 midrange so very easy to design for. it's also the first true Hi-Fi speaker I have built in ages, been doing rebuilds and garage speakers for my mates.
Yes good reproduction of music is very soothing when the correct music is playing

Led Zeppelin I, or anything by David Sylvian then?

And what bindings will you fit to those XC skis?

Good choice, almost all of their work is good, the dark side of the moon is awesome in surround, if you haven't got it already get a hold of the quadrophonic recording (there's an immersion DVD with a few mixes, quad is best I feel).
