About the monikers

I'm not sure how much of interest this topic will be but I think that people's choice of moniker can be interesting. Some actually show you a face and this does help you to get to know the person better. Some others are comic and one at least is lucky to have passed judgement by the site's moderators! I could have selected any number of idiotic pictures of me for my own moniker but thought I'd let my writings speak for themselves! and instead chose one of my favourite birds, the musk duck. The males can be almost comical with their splashing antics but otherwise I always thought them to be retiring creatures but this one certainly wasn't. It was near Bunbury WA and the bird is in moult.

so let me 'translate' your description :D
balding bloke, bit of a wag, but at times pulls his head in and lays low for a while.

For me it was my local identifying feature that dominates the landscape here.
OK - suppose that leaves my choice open to ragging

Oh Derrrr!Touche. Your description came as a shock! It sounds like something from Police wanted files! The musk duck is meant to be shielding my identity!

We have oak trees lining the driveway where I work and of course, they drop acorns - sometimes with devilish accuracy. They are magnificent trees and the microclimate they create makes for a pleasant place to eat lunch on hot summer days.
