Melbourne Coffee Expo photos

Postby tasadam » Sat 01 Jun, 2013 11:16 am

Went to the Melbourne International Coffee Expo for 3 days.
Took a lot of photos.
I've posted a link to them all here if anyone is interested...

Where do you buy your bean?
Without a local roaster Im just defaulting to Merlos for 2kg split origin plus $10 delivery per month.
At least I know what Im getting and its only a ten second 1300 phone call.
Happy to follow any good leads though.

Loved the fence round the baristas to keep your sticky fingers out :D.

Haha, good old Pablo!! It was truly the exotic one of the big three. IR was in every gov building... still should be, when did public servants deserve better??

Coffee machine art though>?? people get up to all sorts of quirky things (besides bushwalking) :) I take it you didn't participate then??

Nescafe' for me (Gold Label- of course), as many times iv'e tried the 'real' stuff.

wouldnt mind taking one of those elektra's on a trip, i'm thinking it would need a car battery to power it... failing that a generator...

hmmm uses 110 volts, i assume thats 240v in aus. make that several truck batteries... or a generator...

Quite a good generator Wayno, my home machine uses (at peak drain) 7.5 amps at 240 volts so those bigger machines must really suck some juice.
Mind you, my machine is no slouch.
Here is a review of mine.
