Missing woman last seen running naked into forest with Jack Russell

Police are asking for the public's help to find a woman who was last seen running naked into a forest in Victoria's east.

Emergency workers are searching for the 39-year-old in the Alberton West State Forest.

Officers say she was last seen wearing nothing but her boots, and it is believed she may also have a Jack Russell terrier with her.

The woman may be suffering mental health issues and police say she may be trying to avoid people.

Anyone who spots the woman is asked to contact authorities immediately.
