We are travelling over Easter with a 4wd camper trailer and would like some suggestions where we can camp without being in a park where we are crammed in with lots of others. We are heading to Arthur River and have been told Prickly Wattles or Nelson Point are good places. Does any one have any other suggestions for here or along the West Coast.
Thanks

I believe there are some nice spots at Trial Harbour (especially if you don't mind a bit of a rough road, but haven't been there myself. There's also a lot of good information on 'car camping' areas at:

It may be a bit thick at Easter, but worth checking out Manuka campground about 0.5Km on right side (coming from Marrawah) before the Arthur River Ranger Station. There are lots of secluded campsites there, so it's possible to be at least out of sight of other camps. They're sheltered camps surrounded by high native vegetation, with lots of wildlife at night. Worth checking to the end of both tracks after turning off the AR Road; down to left shortly after turning off, also continuation of main track. No direct beach access, but only about 1.5Km to AR beach.
