I do but it isn't at the show or the museum
Beaufighter, but mainly because my dad used to sit and watch them take off from here in Geelong when they were made here and Spitfires of course

I was lucky enough to attend Warbirds Over Wanaka in 2004. Funnily enough, I was just accompanying my father on a trip to NZ (and all the fun that travelling with a sedentary parent entails), but the show was absolutely first class.

The fact that I chose to walk from town on the 2nd day (had enough of being cooped up in the hire car with father), and didn't get charged the $50 daily admission, was a bonus! They just let me walk straight through.

Interested???? i work around them, Im at currant working on our S-2G Grumman Tracker. Previous have grouped to re build a static MB-326 Macchi Jet Trainer, she is on display now.
I think i forget the old war birds that im around every week and work on. As for photos, what will i post up for you?? best keep with the bushwalk scene so i will post a pic of me having a catnap

Catalina "Catnap"

I have had the privilege to have flown in our PBY Catalina,.... DHC-4 Caribou,.... C-47,.... "Connie" Super Constellation,.... Lockheed Neptune and not ours but "snifter" the P-51 Mustang and a few other Aircraft not from the warbird scene. I missed out going to Scone Easter weekend, had to pull out at the last min, usually fly in with our Caribou and missed the Canberra Show as i was out hiking

The big Wings over Illawarra is on 5th 6th May are you coming to this one

hey Taipan, yes the cat still floats, but the guys prefer not to land on water.

Nice photos, love the older aircraft. I was lucky enough to go solo in the Tiger Moth.
There are a few of us here on Bushwalk Australia interested in aviation and flying.
Counting down the days till the fist week of March 2019 for Avalon Airshow.
Connie doing the night show is the highlight, exhausts stacks glowing red, the sound etc.
I would love to go to Oshkosh one day.

hey OLM ....we have just participated in three air shows, weekend just gone was the Canberra Air Show, we had The Convair, The Dak, Catalina and the Caribou.
big hit with the visitors, lines to view each plane was beyond silly. Scone was previous week only the Bou went to that one. Connie not attending shows at the moment, down for maintenance ...she is always a big draw card at air shows.
This weekend is Parks NSW, Cat, Dak and Bou heading out tomorrow, we all watch and wave them off.... totally addicted to the sound of radials

A Rev Head with a difference.
They're wonderful machines.
Watched interesting storey on TV last night of a Spitfire rebuild right through to it flying again with the daughters of the original pilot who crashed it at Dunkirk (?) looking on.
Great to see the work you & your like minded ones do DebFar.

It was a great week-end
20,000 people turned up to watch.
Deb I mentioned your photo above to one of the Catalina pilots and I was told I was BS***ing and that it doesn't happen, but I bought a Cat patch anyway. A shame that the Connie couldn't make it.
