Is that on there MD?
For Zapruda- "Wings of desire". Berlin, black and white, 1980s, invisible angels... nice.
Might watch it again myself.
For Moondog -Al Pacino in Serpico.

Never seen the film of that. The book's so weird it's hard to see how a film can satisfactorily get the right atmosphere. Might give it a go, but.

Do. It does a really good job, but knowing the book does help. These films will never be seen again. 'Once of' I reckon.

Oh well the 70s films are gone.
But 'Public Enemy' series on SBS OD in 'drama' is alright.
French thriller series.

Any photogs or cinema photogs on here. SBS OD has Paper Moon. Nice film but the 'look' is just beautiful.

Sbsod has 'Leave no trace' (2018, 100% on rotten tomatoes) currently.

Did you watch it Craig?
The title is a misnomer if a person thought it about bushwalking/walking.
About US war vets and the cost of war.
Very well worth a watch.

It's a great film, more for buffs than the average punter but that's no surprise being sbs. You're right, the bushcraft stuff is beside the point of the movie but just tenuous enough of a link to mention it here I thought.

Yep, a good recommendation Craig.
Seen 'the conversation'? Coppola, Hackman
Also Chinatown-classic.
Both good bushwalking films-well... along bow I know.

It's many years since I have seen Chinatown. It's about Australia isn't it. Corporate farmers, stealing water, towns running dry, that sort of thing?
