Trouble logging in today? Clear cookies

If you are logged in and then logged out again today, please try clearing your browser cookies for the forum.
(I switched to a new proxy server today, and some people are having trouble logging back in)

How to Clear Cookies for Bushwalk.com
Clearing your browser's cookies for just this site can solve many login problems or page display issues.
(This will log you out of your bushwalk.com account, and you can then log back in)

Here are the quickest methods for major browsers:

Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge
  1. Navigate to bushwalk.com.
  2. Click the lock icon to the left of the web address in the address bar.
  3. Select "Cookies and site data" (on Chrome) or "Cookies" (on Edge).
  4. Click "Manage on-device site data" or find the bushwalk.com entry and click the corresponding trash can icon to delete it.
  5. Reload the page.

Mozilla Firefox
  1. Navigate to bushwalk.com.
  2. Click the lock icon to the left of the web address.
  3. Click "Clear cookies and site data...".
  4. Confirm by clicking the "Remove" button.
  5. Reload the page.

Safari on a Mac
  1. With Safari open, click "Safari" in the top menu bar, then select "Settings...".
  2. Go to the "Privacy" tab.
  3. Click the "Manage Website Data..." button.
  4. In the search box that appears, type "bushwalk"
  5. Select "bushwalk.com" from the list and click the "Remove" button.
  6. Click "Done" and then reload the page on the main forum.

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Safari".
  3. Scroll down again to the bottom and tap "Advanced".
  4. Tap on "Website Data".
  5. Use the search bar at the top to find "bushwalk"
  6. Swipe left on the "bushwalk.com" entry and tap "Delete".

That's nice to know, except yesterday I couldn't access the site to find out how to access the site ...

At least now you can save that piece of information in the back of your mind for next time you can't log in.
This makes me the first man to climb Mount Everest backwards, without oxygen...or even a jumper.

Sorry about that. I did have this message site-wide yesterday, hoping that people would notice it, but it was too easy to miss. I ended up changing the name of the cookie, which forced everyone to log back in, but meant that most people did not need to clear cookies - figured this was more intuitive.
