Forums Read-Only 10pm to Midnight Thursday 20th

There is some site maintenance work planned for 10:00pm to midnight on Thursday the 20th of December (Australian Eastern Summer Time). During this time the forums should be available for browsing, but posting will be disabled.

NB: It will not be possible to submit new topics, posts or private messages during this time.

The posting outage is to make sure that the database is relatively quiescent while the site is being migrated to a new server. Ie, to make sure that we don't lose new posts, topics or PMs during the migration.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

We've done several test runs, and it all looks good in testing. But as for the best laid plans of mice and men... well, we all know that anything can happen.

Since you started the new server I cant log on automatically anymore. Have to re enter my id and password everytime. Anyone else having similar problems

Could you please try clearing your cookies (for bushwalk.com) and see if that helps? That is the usual resolution to this problem.

(I've been led to believe that if you're using MSIE, you may have to delete all cookies, unless you have a 3rd party tool for managing the cookies.)

I've now changed the cookie name on the server. There may have been some session confusion between the old and new servers. I hope this helps.

(It may also log everybody else out on a once-only basis.)
