TIP: The online
Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hi guys,
I brought a second hand Macpac Tempest sleeping bag for pretty cheap.
I would like to get it cleaned before using.. I'm just wondering if anyone know of a specialist in Newcastle that will do it?
I spoke to one place that said they will clean anything according to the washing guidelines on it.. That doesn't really give me much confidence in them as she didn't really know much about down.
Cheers,
Declan

Easy job
DIY
Down soap and a bathtub and a commercial tumble dryer for 4 hours
Best done in the middle of a summer heat wave tho as then you can dry on the line [ carefully padded of course] and only tumble for an hour on LOW heat

+1 on DIY. Just buy a commercial down cleaning product and go to a laundry if you don't have one.
