TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Macpac Uber Light Down and trekking poles

Wed 29 Jul, 2015 3:18 pm

Popped in to the Smith St ,Collingwood, Macpac shop today to get some stuff for my wife.
An item that impressed me was the Uber Light jacket.
240g , compresses very small and at $90 it was good enough for me to pull my wallet out.
(never knew I had a pet moth in there...)
In the meantime I had a play with their Carbon trekking poles.
They have an tension adjustable flick lock system , I think good value at $74 each.
You can now get Macpac Aluminium Flick Lock poles for less than $40 each.
Worth a look , I think.

Macpac needs to not become complacent.
