Fuzzy Pants?

Has anybody got any feedback on the ZeroGear Alpha Direct pants?
It being cheaper to buy from that business than buying my own fabric and paying for postage from America just at the moment.
I was looking for something lighter than my loose tights in Powerstretch Pro

Big fan! Don't really have any specific feedback other than they were exactly what I expected in terms of sizing, performance etc. 10/10

I'll have lose weight before I buy there, won't be able to assist with XXL mens.
I'll have to stick with what I have.

I bought some recently from Zero Gear. Really well made and a very good fit in XL. As long as you are out of the wind it's very warm. Being inside a hut, tent or sleeping bag the warmth generated is very impressive given its structure and weight.
My pants came in at 150 g, so it was a significant weight savings from the typical Polartec fleece track pants option.

Given the cost of a pair of pants in such a fragile fabric and as I have several pairs of Patagonia winter weight LongJohns now maybe I should just stick with carrying an extra set of those. Not as warm but maybe they would be warm enough under the windproofs. I have a Macpac Nitro and while it is warmer than the winter weight Capilene the difference isn't as great as I thought it might be

I agree, carrying an extra pair of Long Johns is a good decision. I have the Nitro top as well but the Alpha Direct Fabric has many limitations: lacks versatility, vulnerable to wind (even breezes) and durability. Ultimately, in my opinion, it's just about wanting to save grams. Alpha Direct achieves that outcome but with conditions.
