Absolutely correct.
Well I found it. Black mesh bag inside a black plastic bag inside my food stash box.
I don't like packing for this transitional weather, not quite cold enough for the big down bag but cool enough to need to pack the winter long johns for sleeping in but perhaps not cold enough to need the sleeping socks. I also always take my insurance policy of the UL WM "Hotsack" VB liner, the new version is lighter than the black plastic bin liner I used to carry
Settled on the 300g down bag plus the synthetic overbag to cover me down to -10C just in case/ Similar thoughts on the walking clothes, do I take the Ferrosi which has pockets and is breathable or the UL Montane windshirt which isn't at all breathable being very highly wind resistant. A bit ditto on the warm midlayer, is it the Alpha or the 100 top? The Polartec 100 can be worn on iot's own with no protection but the Alpha would be wrecked very quickly if not worn without some sort of protection layer, that said there isn't that much scrub to push through going Falls to Hotham and Feathertop.
Not so much packing my fears; just that medical issues mean I can't afford to get chilled; if I do get suddenly cold I tend to suffer relapses of Ross River or malaria
