TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Really? That's curious. Did they want to save material cost in the Moment DW? Granted, the plan is less of a square than the Scarp.

"Did they want to save material cost in the Moment DW?"
The more it cost us to make, the more the customer pays....
Yes the Scarps have a rectangular floor , odd shaped floors can end up having a lot of wasted material hence the two panels in the Notch and similar shelters.

Ok, as I thought and understandable. So, the key question here is, how should it be seam sealed? Paint it on both sides or just on the external surface? I note the transverse floor seam runs right over the arch pole restraining webbing, as such, would it be easy for the seam seal/stitches to wear through? Is there anything else that should be done to protect it a bit more? Or has real life use proven it's a non-issue?

I seam seal the floor seams from the inside.
This way it is easier for me to keep it clean and helps with the mat not slipping around, that with striping the floor anyway.

Thanks! I'll do that from the inside too. Haven't convinced myself to strip the whole floor yet for my preference for a clean look... Until my first pitch on a slope. ;)

On my Overland walk I actually trialed the use of one of those thin anti slip mats that I stole out of our kitchen drawer. All the tent sites were flat but the mat wasn't going to be sliding around anywhere. If I was super ultra light I would just sleep on the anti slip mat  .
