TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

And why does this effing website keep logging me out?

The owner of Backpacking Light is the Australian Importer of Aarn packs (or was) so they've always had a good range.

Thx, but I'd have to be paid well to visit Melbourne ever again.

MacOS here. There is a bizarre button at login stating "Log me in automatically when I visit". I'll try that.

Kifaru make a pretty pack one of my friends has one and he likes it, very well made. You just have to see which frame will suit you. All three have different frame choices. I have had an Osprey but did not like it much, the load moved a little too much for me and the hip belt didn't thrill me. There is a couple of very good pack comparisons on Y/TUBE where they do a pretty in depth review of most of the big name US packs. Half a dozen guys try each pack and do a course carrying various weights etc and they judge them accordingly. Worth a look. You will certainly know what will and won't work for you. The harness and hip belt on the EXO is very good and there is no movement at all. With most of these packs they recommend you put 15-20kgs in them and then do your adjusting with that weight in them. Hope this helps. You can customise most of these and they have lots of handy accessories to go with them. At a cost unfortunately and none of them is what I call cheap. Kuiu is another mob but I don't think they are as good as the others.

Some EXO owners complained they couldn't easily adjust the hip belt tension while wearing the pack which sounds odd.

Kifaru seem to be moving to a single frame - the ARK, and do seem to the pick of the US packs.

I wonder what the Scandinavians use?

Do you have a YT link to that review please?
