Gas or metho?
Metho.
Happened to me on the Nullabor when wild winds swirled up when I was trying to make porridge early one morning for breakfast.
The wind changed direction and the Trangia got noisier than an MSR multifuel roarer burner.
I tried to move it with my finger not realising it had gotten quite molten and badly burnt my finger which took some time to heal.
I needed to sit the fuel bowl on top of a tuna tin in order to utilise the Trangia until I made it to Perth a couple of weeks later.
Luckily I had no issue finding a replacement base for the 27 series unit.
