TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.
Thx for that. Never heard of them, and currently of no use to me, but it's one of those links that's worth saving. I didn't realise that you could get CF replacement poles for tents. I must read more to see how CF would compare with the aluminium ones on my Hillebergs.
Poles can also be ordered from : http://tentpoletechnologies.com/ (fully assembled) or : http://www.questoutfitters.com/tent_poles.htm for DIY /repair projects Note that Quest sells Easton Aluminium and Carbon Fiber poles The bottom of the page shows how to make a pole (hint : you always need to order one section without the insert )
