TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

leaking olympus tent

used an Olympus tent this last week and it leaked badly. the water came through where the poles go and run down the inner straps to where the tub joins. it then made a waterbed for me :( . it is an older version but is in good condition. how could I make it waterproof again?. seam tape does not appear to be an option due to the pole sleeves.

seam sealer? or is it because the uerethane membrane has degraded? if so may not be much you can do about that.

"seam tape does not appear to be an option due to the pole sleeves."
Where you can't tape you seam seal...
Seam Grip could do the trick.
look up instructions on the McNett site under FAQ
If the above does not make sense or sounds like it will not work, see if you can post some photos of the offending area.

Is there currently anything resembling silicon spread along the sewn seams on the inside of the outer (fly)?
