TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Does anyone know of any stores that stock Vango tents (or can get them in) in Hobart or nearby?

No, but the QLD store WildEarth.com.au carries Vango products, if you don't want to get it from there, maybe they will point you to a store in your area.
Always worth the shot.

Thanks. I actually found the tent I wanted through their site, but wanted to buy locally. I kind of do the opposite to most people! All my research is done online, then I see if a local store can get close on price. Happy to pay a bit extra to keep real stores operating. I do the same with camera equipment.

Find Your Feet could get Vango gear in, but it was going to take a few weeks to set up as a new stockist and I needed it sooner, so I had to order online anyway. It's on its way. Will likely upgrade to an MSR in a few years I think when the little guy (5yrs old) is a bit bigger and can walk further than I care to carry a heavier tent!

FWIW, the Vango Omega 350 looks like it will be a great tent for the 3 of us, if anyone else is looking for a roomy 3-person with big vestibule. It's been a long search!
