TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

My wife sent me this link all the way from our dining room..
(she does the in the facebook, I don't bother with that)

http://gearjunkie.com/tarptent-american-made
anyway, given the several threads on the brand and my personal involvement , I thought some would like to find out a bit more about the brand.

Thanks for the link Franco.

Always wondered what Henry's professional/academic background was. A degree in physics makes sense, he's a gifted structural engineer. It's something that requires creativity, intuition and careful analysis.

While it seems it no longer suits my needs, every time I've pitched the Stratospire I've walked around it several times admiring the brilliance of the structural design and packaging and the wonderful aesthetics.

I loved the evolution of the Scarp but the most interesting of them all, in its development ,was the StratoSpire .
The interesting part is to see how the different TT elements blend in to the next shelter and how one generates the next.
As Henry mentioned in the article, the missing bit in the SS design came about incorporating the Pitch Loc corners, borrowing that from the Scarp.
