TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I have one, bought off eBay a couple of years ago, for around $200 or so - I consider that was a bargain. The bag doesn't have a model name, but it's around 5 degrees (comfort, my rating), and around 800 grams. It has a soft inner lining, and I think a pertex shell, is black and red, and a strange colour-coded thermometer sewn on (kind of like those aquarium ones). My guess is that the down is 800 fill or better - Polish down is supposed to be the best in the world.

It does shed feathers occasionally, but I am convinced this is normal for all bags. I have slept in it probably 50 times, always happy.

I seem to remember the seller was in Queensland. As you can guess, I've been very happy with it.

See review of the 300 UL here:

http://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18616 edit - added the actual link. Thanks keithy

I thought there was another somewhere but couldn't find it. Not the bag you are looking at but should give you some idea on quality.

gayet - you might have forgotten the link viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18616

The lady in QLD that sells them is Kasia - viewtopic.php?f=27&t=18304

I was looking at the Malachowski bags as well, but ended up getting the Cumulus Liteline 300 from her last year, and took it away to Scandinavia and Iceland.

I have a climber 600, I could only afford 1 bag so this does all seasons I just open it up when it's warm.
The quality is excellent and it works fine. I got it from globe walker who regularly have sales no dramas with service.
