TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

New Trangia duossal 25-7 available

Hi all,

I found a local Ray's Outdoors (Enfield, South Australia) that has a Trangia Duossal 25-7 for sale for $135. Trangia duossal was discontinued around 2008 and they are not easy to find.
The 25-7 is the larger version, with stainless steel lined 1.5 + 1.75 pots & 22cm pan. They are heavy, but easy to clean.

They had two in stock, but I bought one so only the demo model is left. It's got some stickers on it, but the box and all the components were there.
If anyone is interested I'd be happy to pick it up and post within Australia (I acknowledge this is my first post here and this may look a little suspicious). Alternatively you could contact the store directly.

For those that are wondering; duossal is a pot with aluminium on the outside and stainless on the inside. I had to look it up myself.

Apparently it's been replaced by hard anodized aluminium now.
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Well worth it for anyone who doesn't mind the weight.

I have some duossal bits made up into a very compact effective car camping set up.

I also have two Sigg pots made the same way. I like them a lot, but don't carry them when walking nowadays.

We've got a 25 duossal too, its been fantastic.

Never had any issues. Id have preferred a 27, but i have the new 27 hard anodised anyways so we're covered for future family trips too. I just bought them in the wrong order ;)

Travis.

Maybe we need a new iteration? Aluminium/Titanium layered would be lighter. Not a problem if you are only boiling water but some of us do like to cook more slowly on occasion
