Scarpa SL Activ & Kinesis Pro - what's the difference?

Hi all, my Scarpa Deltas are in need of replacement and I've been looking at the other options in the Scarpa stable.

Can anyone explain the difference between the SL Activ and Kinesis Pro? Very similar design, same sole, both leather, almost identical weight... The only thing I can see is that the Kinesis Pro has GTX.

Is there anything else?

Cheers, Nick

Best i could find on google;

The Kinesis Pro GTX and SL Activ are build using the same BD last, feature the same mid-sole material and both have a full rand. They also happen to come in at the same weight.

The SL Activ is essentially a refined SL M3. The Kinesis Pro GTX is a Gore-Tex boot and the SL Activ, like the SL M3, is not Gore-Tex.

...........................

I have the SL M3's and the SL Activ's. The SL Activ boots are a lot more comfortable then the M3's.

Kinesis and SL Activ do feel differently on, certainly worth trying them both on for a while in store and buy which ones feel best to you.

Travis.

If oyu don't want gore-tex There was a non-goretex kinesis available a couple of years ago with soft leather lining. I don't know if it's still available or not.
