Hello all
recently the UL bug has bit me and am looking at replacing my ex ADF boots with something lighter. The problem is my shoe size is 14 US and the brands I've seen around don't go that large.
any recommendations?

you need to be able to try on a brand to make sure it fits your shape of foot.
otherwises take a risk and buy online from overseas online stores

I've seen and fitted Scarpa, Keen and Merrell in size 14. All 3 quite a different fit, the only one right for me is Scarpa but I'm still looking for other options.

It would also be worth looking at some of the trail runner options as well. Don't hesitate to ask your local stores to bring in some shoes in your size, they may just not stock that size normally. If you are willing to gamble, there is are a couple of discount online retailers that do provide returns on sizing, so might be worth looking at as well.

If you dont have anywhere local, Wildearth have a good return policy as well as a few different brands. Order a couple of pairs and send back what you don't want. Not the cheapest way to do it but at least you will have a good chance of getting something that fits. You can always give them a call and gets some advice before placing your order

If you are looking at the trail runner option, it is worth poking around the manufacturers website - they sometimes have a guide as to which models have a wide forefoot, narrow heel, etc, which may make finding a suitable shoe easier, or at least narrow down the options if you go down the "buy multiple pairs online and return" route.

thank you all for your comments
I've figured I'll keep using my current shoes until they wear out, and in the meantime go to all the various stores and try on shoes until i find one that fits

Sandals. Unshoes, Chaco's, Luna will all make any size if you ask. Teva and Keen you can get locally. Or make your own.
I'm working towards hiking 100% in sandals outside of snow.

i honestly could never walk in sandals, with my luck around snakes that could lead to an alternative trip cancellation
