TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Osprey Exos 46, how big a dry bag.

I was going to get a 50 liter one and even a 70 litre one, but the specs seem to be if for a 90 litre one to be too small for the pack, not sure what's going on.

http://www.kellysbasecamp.com.au/p/4469 ... iners.html

Description Size Volume Our Price
Small 49cm x 16cm <50L $37.75
Medium 51cm x 20cm <70L $42.25
Large 55cm x 25cm <90L $49.45

I am amusing the specs are Length and width, even at 55cm it's not long enough for my bag, which is a 50 inch large bag.

Any recommend a dry bag for my Osprey 46 large.

Or am I looking at this the wrong way as it should not fill the whole pack ??

Cheers.

I dont think you're reading these correctly. To me, the three sizes appear to be:

- Less than 50L
- 50L to 70L
- 70L to 90L

Also, 50" is 127cm - is you 46L pack truly 1.3m long?

Osprey Exos
Cm: 70 x 35 x 30

STS 50 L liner
Cm: 79 x 49 x 16

By the time the liner fills out the circumference will be fine and there is some extra hight to fold down the top.

All dimensions from the respective official sites. google is your friend :-)

Is it just me or are these dimensions not round? What is the last measurement?

Yeah the pack liners have an oval shaped base which is 49 x 16. The pack is 35 x 30.

Description Volume Oval Base Width Oval Base Width Height Weight
Small 50 L 49cm / 19in 16cm / 6in 79cm / 31in 74g / 2.6 oz
Medium 70 L 51cm / 20in 20cm / 8 in 90cm / 35in 98g / 3.4 oz
Large 90 L 55cm / 22in 25cm / 10in 122cm / 48in 126g / 4.4 oz

I found this and it explains it SOOO much better than the website I was going to buy it from, No idea why they never used this instead ???

Cheers.

It seems the 50l liner would be fine and ok.

I ordered the 50 small one, will be arriving with other stuff this week or next, DAMN store most of the gear was not in stock, OH well. I will let you know how well it fits.

I would like to add another dry bag for the front pocket, but not sure how bigI want it to be big enough to go right up to the clip at the top so to make some extra room in the pack and keep everything dry that I put inthere as well, any ideas on what Size that would be ???

Cheers.
