500 recipes in one downloadable PDF... 506 to be exact. Should last a very very long time. But most are more suited to car campers with all that ingredients.

Indeed - and if one has a car one can pack a picnic! My food preparation usually limited to unwrapping and uncorking and I haven't had a bad meal yet

I'm inclined to agree Except for special occasions if it needs a recipe it's too complicated for bushwalking. W2W haven't you heard of Stelvin caps? Twist and open so much lighter as there's no need to carry a corkscrew

! "uncork" used generically; as when restaurants charge "corkage" for stelvins. Palendrini, Baldivis and Yellow glen had PET bottles too for a while - apparently increasingly popular in Europe but didn't catch on here. Pity, seemed fine to me..............

My trouble is I prefer wine from crystal goblets so there goes the weight saving in the "decant to coke bottle" method

Don't know that I'd take goblets hiking, certainly in the car... Vinnies; look for something with a short stem, mine fits neatly into a plastic screwtop jar that's been dropped dozens of times. Good crystal is very thin though, doesn't weight much.
