Anyone know where to get instant custard powder in Hobart?
I usually buy Foster Clark sachets at Coles New Town but they don't have any at the moment. Woollies never seem to stock them.
Makes a nice dessert with freeze dried fruit.
Cheers,
Rohan

As an alternative, the sachets of flavoured pudding mix up quite well, although the F&C custard is very nice - either of them mixed up with boiled rice.
Hmmm, wonder how it would go with couscous?

IGA Davey Street came to the rescue! Thanks!
Might have to try the puddings. Have avoided them in the past because they usually say to refrigerate after mixing.

Be interested to hear how heavy your pack is for this trip Rohan! You were 7kg lighter than me on the weld traverse, so for 8-10 days i bet your still under 20kg......

If you can't find the F&C instant custard here are some other standbys...Woolies stock Cottees instant puddings (AKA Sudden Sludge) in vanilla, strawberrry and chocolate - all turn suitably custardy without refrigeration. Weight Watchers do similar versions which can be made up with water rather than milk.

Yes Steve we really care about our fellow walkers down here and try to keep them informed about the trends of the Supermarkets for those who have little or no time or desire to shop but still miss that which they were able to have before the market was emasculated by the Latte set
