Can't find where i've put the weight, but I reckon it's pretty light:
6-8 Woollies Select brown rice crackers. Boys probably need more
I've been thru a big range of crackers over the years, but these are my favourite. I expect they'll stop making them soon...
2 cheese triangles, whichever are on special
Little containers of vegemite, jam, whipped peanut butter (lighter weight, and easy to spread thinner, so goes much further).
The cheese goes with the veg or the jam or by itself. Sometimes I take a couple of lettuce leaves to spiff up the first days. (I hear some laughter...)
If i'm sharing, i'll take pate of some kind for the first couple of days. I also plan to try dehydrating homus.
The little containers come from woollies, made for dressing, so don't leak too much. They all fit in one of the sizes of chinese food container, along with 3 days worth of bikkies. I take a teenslie spatula instead of a knife, and that fits in too.
In really cold weather i do like some soup or hot choc as well if convenient, and in hot weather, some fizzy powdered drink
