Ditto. Or more, once I add noodles/pasta and cheese. I eat very little during the day when walking, so the evening meal provides the bulk of my fuel.
Which reminds me, getting low on both vegies and meat; time to prepare another big batch ...

Just spotted in a Coles, haven't seen it anywhere for a long time, the dry Barilla tortellini three cheese $6.50 for 340g. Is a favourite of mine. Boil half the bag, add what you have or not. Here is the nutrition table. Best before date of April 2025 so 4-5 months (+).

Went looking. Couldn't find it. A staff member couldn't find it. Neo, in which section of the store did you locate it?

I'm sure I've posted this before, but probably worth doing it again. If you want to prep hiking meals using supermarket ingredients,
you could do a lot worse that grabbing a copy of Xtreme Gourmet by Sonya Muhlsimmer. It is available as an eBook.

https://xtremegourmet.com/

There are recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and dessert. She gives the weight of each meal as well as the nutritional breakdown. The recipes are written as portions for one person but are easily scaled up.
