Wiltshire Poachies - for easy poached eggs

Stumbled across these in Woolies a couple of days ago...small disposable pouches for perfect poached eggs every time.
Ive tried them a couple of times now and they work well. Perfect for cooking eggs while on a walk.
They weigh nothing and very little to clean up after use.

Ive already tried the similar silicon pouches "Pods" but I found they took too long to cook and did not cook evenly.

Eggcellent idea - presumably like this?

I'm going on a club overnighter in a few weeks - I might give these a try. If I can't successfully make the eggs survive the walk in, then the idea won't be all it is cracked up to be

I bought a pack of these today. I was so keen to try them I had an afternoon snack - poached egg on toast

I followed the directions and had a perfect poached egg - eggactly (sorry) to my liking after 5 minutes. Much less fuss than shelling a boiled egg.

The next challenge is to find a suitable device for cooking toast.

I should have qualified that by saying on a fuel stove. I've seen the GSI collapsing unit. Just wondering if there are good alternatives.

You can do it with a Gas burner the old fashioned way with a fork or I have a mate who uses a bit of the mesh that you can buy as replacement for the camping toasters :)

Thanks for the tip. I purchased these and successfully used them in my mini Trangia. Nice eggs.
