Came across a user in the city just the other day. Pretty impressive. A quick search on YouTube found that there are models and users on off track application. Can see how there'll be bushwalkers who may be benefited by a contraption like this. I gather these units weigh around 10-13kg and can handle 15-25km per charge. Segway is too hard to handle when the ground gets too rough. With these, just pick it up and carry it for a few meters before continuing.

Interesting. Would be good for those who are not as fit or have some illness or disability.

even better, because I'm hopeless at balancing, a "saddlebag" that it can carry my gear for me, and a simple following system. self carrying backpack!

It's far lighter than a Segway.

But, when the battery dies, you have to carry the darn thing. What does it weigh?
