Yup, NSW E-Topos are all free - all above-board and legal -
https://maps.six.nsw.gov.au/etopo.htmlThese are the exact same E-topo PDFs we used to pay $5 a pop for, and they are identical to the latest NSW paper maps. All are geocoded and work with various apps. I have tried a few of them out in Adobe Acrobat on the toughbooks and on PDF Maps/Avenza on my phone and they do what it says on the tin.

Great, but maps with edges are so last decade. Apps like OruxMaps can cache NSW topos for any area - all above-board and legal.

I blow up the section I need and get the sections printed at office works at a3 size double sided on their digital printers. Comes out fantastic and it's pretty cheap.
