Lithium P04 battery for fridge

So I used my new engel combi fridge for the oxfam 100km walk over weekend. The battery I got is 135ah, and the fridge 2.5 per hour. Somehow though the battery drained in only 24 hours and is only showing 12 volts.

I thought I'd just recharge but it won't move off 12 volts. Looking it up I guessed the low discharge fail-safe must have been triggered so reset the battery with the supplied shunt things. No difference.

I've sent a note to hardkorr but nothing back yet. Any suggestions?

I'm disappointed a 135ah battery only lasted 24 hours (and lithium p04 at that!).

The battery should have lasted longer than that providing that you are using the engel as a fridge and not a freezer. I run my old engel (1980s) on 36 volt lawn mower batteries with electronics to reduce to 12 volt. A 36V 6 Ah will run my fridge for 24 hours. Need to check the fridge draws 2.5 amps using a multimeter if thats the case problem is the battery.

I've just bought this aliexpress 12v, 200ah battery.

Only $529.75 delivered, (but no warranty etc) Send a PM in a months time and I'll tell you how it goes.

Most lipo4 have a lower voltage of 10v, so you could perhaps only have run it partway down.

Older battery chargers may not work with new technology batteries. I found a completely discharged AGM battery would not charge just from a battery charger, with a normal lead acid battery connected as well .. it finally charged.

There are various Li-ion battery chemistries (LiPo, LFP, LCO, LMn, LNMC, etc) with different properties https://www.science.org.au/curious/technology-future/lithium-ion-batteries, not to mention different quality manufacturers.
Which one do you have?
