Picassa - wrangling order with photographs

As a gear freak I can make life rather complicated for myself. The worst is with camera software as they squabble amongst themselves. Even sticking with one brand does not help as versions clash.
So during the computer rebuild that had to have decided to use Picassa to organize the photographs. Now Picassa has limited support for raw imagines and can not take full advantage of them so the hardcore will still need to use Gimp or Photoshop. But for most photographs it has enough corrective tweaks for most people and even as a pro it still makes a good library system.
It supports raw for Canon, Olympus and Panasonic along with their video standards. And the bonus it is free.
So if you are tired of megalomaniac camera software programs that jump on every time you plug a storage media in then have a look at Picasa.
Cheers
