Same info as what's provided in my 'Weather AU.app' (iOS) as it uses BOM data. No more need for a mobile site.

I don't have ur 'Weather AU.app' :) , they'd all just interpret the same data, is that better? BoM seem to have done a decent job with theirs?

Weather zone a free app. All info comes from bom. Has up to date radar etc.. Great and easy to use.

I think the presentation is nicer and often faster with push services helping along the way. Worth investing in the best with a few coins.

I'm always at a fairly rudimentary level with technology. Meh, keeps me appreciative maybe, just saved several key stations as page icons on home screen.

Bom's next generation weather tool is something called MetEye. Apparently its used alot by the organisation internally. Here is the description from the FAQ:-

MetEye is able to show maps of weather observations and the official forecasts produced by the Bureau of Meteorology. This is quite different to other map based systems which often show automatically generated, computer model data. MetEye forecast maps have been adjusted by our meteorologists to better represent expected weather.

Just a note of caution, they have a disclaimer that it is an experimental service and should not be used for critical decision making.
