Can anyone recommend any local or overseas photo printing and framing services? I'd like to be able to send / upload my photos and they ship the framed prints to me. Surely in this day and age there are some services out there that produce a quality result at a reasonable price ...

Try
http://www.redbubble.com/ . One I know that I have used. There are many others but I can not recomend any of them as they are untried.
You will find Tasadam, myself and quite a few others on this forum there.

Thanks. I'm aware of them after ordering one of tasadam's products. I'm not looking to sell anything. I'd just like to get some of my images printed for my wall.
An alternative I suppose is to just get my images printed and buy frames elsewhere. I've never had large format images printed before so I don't know which services produce a quality result.

You don't have to sell anything, you can buy your own uploaded prints at the base price to you, framed and delivered.
Unless you do framing yourself it seems to be the biggest cost in getting something good for the wall.

Thanks. I've been experimenting with the site and uploading some of my photos privately to see how they look.

Thanks for that! Now I know who my customer was!

Did you see
THIS topic?
That covers printing. Not sure about framing though (I do my own Tassie timber frames).
Cheers.

A professional photographer friend of mine used
http://www.photoforce.com.au/ in Hobart for all his professional slide processing (he has gone digital recently). He said they where as good as any mainland company he had used and calibrated all there equipment each morning. Not sure if they do print processing or not. I know very little about them other than his recommendation for slide processing. Could be worth checking out?

I've had one of my shots printed and framed through redbubble. I was quite happy with the quality. I might try the mounted style next.

Standard options on Redbubble photos include
Greeting card
Matted print
Laminated print
Mounted print
Canvas print
Framed print
Poster
And there are size options available within those selections too.
When I put my photos on Redbubble I do not make them available as a laminated print, and rarely available as a canvas print.
I have been told that the Lammy prints from RB don't do the photos justice.
Hope that helps.

http://www.frameshop.com.auI do all my own printing and framing, bar the frame joining. So I get these guys to make the custom frames for me. Well priced and fast and efficient. Havent used their mounting and printing services though.
