Number of Hikers on Overland Track

Hi,

For those who have completed the walk in the last few days, have you encountered many walkers? Particularly in these freezing conditions?

Don't know about the last few days but - on Sunday I finished a walk up to Pelion Gap and back. There were 16 packs and an occupied tent at the Gap when I arrived there. People all over the place. I've seen fewer walkers on the OT in February than I saw last week. :x

There were more than ten people at waterfall valley hut last wednesday, I think school holidays brings a few extra people out.
