I guess the fact that I can't find much written on this means it isn't a big problem but I thought I'd ask anway. I'm doing the Overland track in February and I am trying to work out whether I'll need to take rid or not. I've seen it on a few equipment lists but not all. Are there lots of nasty biters on the OLT?
Thanks in advance

No, I can't see why you would need it, you might get a few mozzies but nothing major. I guess it depends on your tolerance to insects, I personally would rather the occasional mossie or tic over covering my body in chemicals but maybe I'm just a hippy

We were with kids so I always kinda' prepare for the worst. Took both spray and cream repellents (both organic) We had no bugs but Murdou (our dog) a shepherd with MUCH fur got a tick grewing almost an inch in a few days
