Hey guys! I was thinking of going over to Tassie and do the track, I'm currently traveling around Melbourne, doint the GOR at the moment.
I'm on a very limited budget unfortunately. If I'll be going next week (17th may or so) am I to expect full charge of 230 - entry ticket and track fee? Or is it lower this time of the year? Including transportation from Mel and consumables I won't be able to afford it and I'm eager to do the track.
Any thoughts?

Snow and freezing after that. Expense on winter outdoors gears.

Yes , this time of year you would have to pay the OLT fee
HOWEVER, there is more to Tassie than the Overland Track - That is just where we tell the sheep to go.
There is the Walls of Frenchmans , and Jerusalems Cap - or something similar.
Seriously , what do you want to see/experience. You could come to Tassie and stay with our family - would'nt that be freaky!!
