My feedback -
I’ve been a long time user of macpac gear since they started in Australia.
Tui light fleece quarter zip tops - I used to wear these a lot as they used to have a nice NZ dark olive green version (no longer unfortunately) and they were a great light weight fleece - I wear these under a jacket etc. if needed or on it’s own for active wear warmth. (Layering).
the current models - the cut has changed like a lot of macpac men’s clothes to tall, skinny, with quite narrow necks, shoulders, and tight under the arms. Like stretch active body wear. Not very comfortable - I’m 5’9” and skinny now (I’ve lost 2 sizes of upper body muscle), but the medium is too long in the body, and too tight in the neck, and super tight on the shoulders, biceps, and tight tight tight under the arm pits (no dropped shoulder cuts). The large is better in the shoulders but still tight in the neck and arms even for me, and even so, is like a mini dress, more like an NZ hunting top. A better option is look at stormy creek or hunters element fleeces, designed for active outback wear
Tui light fleece jackets - the zippered pockets and full front zip adds a bit of weight to the top. However be warned - The cut is very generous and the medium is far too big for me in every way, quite a contrast to the quarter zip top. The medium is larger than the large in quarter zip top.
Dispatch Rain jackets - similarly, cut very snug and very very tight in the neck, shoulders, arms and arm pits. Great stretch material, very durable and doesn’t wet out, great price on special, but the cut for men is very very tight under the arms, on the biceps and across shoulders, and the neck. But the tummy in the same jacket is baggy. Strange cut.
Uber light down jackets - the cut is still good, very comfortable and true to size. The women’s are tapered snug for presentation, and the men’s are straight cut (so waist is a bit large for the size unless you want some room there). I’m a medium so tend to wear one in large for a generous (sloppy) fit (so I can wear a fleece under) - even is the waist is quite large/baggy. on special, these are great value - warm, light, super usable. I’ve travelled the world several times in these and wear one every day in winter. They are also pretty durable.

Takeaway - great value is fit is right. But go to the store and try on samples for sizing. As a plus for online shopping, their return policy is excellent.

I agree that sizing has been all over the place in the last decade.
I did try on the latest version of the Pulsar in store to check the fit and while it was a close [ athletic] fit it was good over a winter baselayer and the Nitro. It just went to an extra 20% off so I did actually buy one. Great value in a lightweight winter top for ski touring or Alpine climbing at the reduced price. I also think that the new alpine sleeping bags are pretty good but only worth buying at the club price and/or on sale
I could possibly fit the DragonFly 400 inside my OP Cocoon if I was heading up Everest or Denali
