Anyone know anything about access to Molly Yorks Nightcap? I assume it's off the Isis Road, but the maps suggest a lot of locked gates and I'm wondering about private property issues...

Acces is from private property... i think i have the phone number somewhere if you're interested. The landowners are or at least were happy to have walkers come through

Sure, that would be great, if you still have it kicking around?

Seems I may have thrown it out, but forum member Rohjoe would probably still have it.
Below is the route we took.

No worries. We walked an old road along the straight contoured section. Then followed a boulder field up almost all the way to the top. If you get in touch with the landowners they may guide you in the right direction.

Isn't it the same bloke as for Millers and Stevensons? Roderic O'Connor, 03 6397 8291

Nope different people... they live near where the walk starts.

Ain't they lucky.
I just recall a mate calling Roderick to get sorted for Millers, and after he'd explained the situation at the time he apparently went off on a tangent and gave her full details for Stevensons and Molly Yorks as well.
I really have to get organised and knock those three off.

It may be possible to climb Molly's from rodericks property on the western side I don't know. It is a much further drive however. I know a hwc group who traversed to Molly's from Miller's and they reported it as being up there with one of the scrubiest trips they've ever done.

One could always turn it into a multiday epic by traversing (probably illegally) via Parson and Clerk or somewhere along the Interlaken Rd. From what I saw of that terrain it would be up there with the SW, scrub-wise.
Pity there's so much private property in that area.
