Hi all Just wanting some opinions on the difficulty of the Eastern Arthur walk compared to the Western Arthurs. I have recentyl completed the Western Arthur range walk and it was great. Thinking now of the Eastern Arthur range walk starting Scotts Peak Dam and exit at Farm house Creek. I'm not sure about summiting Feds so if I did not do this how would others compare the difficulty of the Eastern Arthurs? I understand the 'track' near Federation peak has some exposure? Again interested in opinions without considering the need to summit Federation Peak.

Eastern Arthurs is another level.
There are two particularly demanding sections that cause that: Four Peaks and the area around Federation. The rest of it no worse than the WArtys.

The degree of difficulty will depend on the weather. I agree that around four peaks is tricky scrambling probably harder than scrambling on the Western Arthurs route. Moss Ridge is also a relentless struggle off the range, of ducking and sliding and trusting roots. But Eastern Arthurs is a shorter range
