Does anyone know of someone in Tasmania who offers the services to record parts of your walk? I want to walk by myself on the Overland and to have it recorded, but edited to around a 30-40min version. The person would need to be prepared to walk the Overland

Are you serious? Find a stick and duct tape a go pro to it. Problem solved.

Quite a few people have used a GoPro, but if you want to appear in the pictures then the standard method by solo walkers is to set your camera up on a tripod, start recording video, walk back up the track out of sight, then walk along the track towards the camera. This requires some doubling-back, but only for a few hours in total, if you want to end up with only 40 min total video.
This would be a lot easier than hiring someone to walk with you, carrying all their gear, and paying them for a week, with overtime allowances.
