Hi everyone,

Where do you go to check weather forecasts for specific trails / areas of Tassie?

I'm planning on doing Tasman NP, Mt Ossa, Walls of Jerusalem and Cradle Mountain in the coming weeks.

Bear in mind the weather in Tassie can change suddenly at any time of year, regardless of forecasts, especially highland areas.

Hmm. Not sure where my post went!

I mainly use:

yr.no and mountain-forecast.com

The latter can be trickier if the mountain you want doesn't come up in the search. Just make sure you have the right mountain. Apparently there's a Mt Ossa near Georgetown as well.

On both sites, there's a forecast for the summit and for a lower altitude. Of course, anything can happen. But if the forecast is consistent for the few days ahead, and if the 2 sites agree with each other, the chances are pretty good that the forecast will be right.
